The Client
Resorts World Manila is the premier tourist and entertainment destination located in Newport City, Pasay. Having reaped the benefits of a successful rebranding and redesign of their website by CreatingSkies, they now seek to capture a larger market with localized version of their current website.
The Goals
The Solution
Revising the current Content Management System and framework to operate flawlessly with Chinese characters, CreatingSkies created and developed a mirror of the English website. A team of highly-qualified Chinese translators and proofreaders painstakingly honed their craft on all content found on the site, as well as setting a regular Chinese translation and encoding phase after the initial build guaranteed that the Chinese website would remain updated and reflect all recent changes to the English site. A language-switch system was then added to allow seamless shifting between the two.
The Results
Online and live, the Resorts World Manila Chinese website is now fully operational and updated, capturing the previously-untapped market of Chinese tourists and browsers. With its near-total content translation and seamless front and back-ends, adding future localized website is not a far-off dream.
What’s the difference?
Logo, text… etc
Pictures are still English, tho.
This was a big project, I think. They translated almost everything! And the Chinese one keeps updated with the English site. Great work.
It’s a pretty comprehensive localization, honestly. Most websites have some half-baked translations (or god forbid, Google Translate), but my friend says that the translations are legit, and read like they were written by real people, not some robot.
